"regularly inspect frame for cracks" liam missed that bit of his owners manuel!!! i picked up his bike, and under the zippy tie holding the cables on the frame, there is a huge crack, check abit more and discover all under the headtube is cracked aswell, and he wonderd why it was flexing so much:rolleyes:
he's running my stp frame now

Geez, they are two big cracks, the one on the top tube is massive!!
So the one on the top tube was under a zip-tie?

Yeah, they are massive cracks. No wonder he thought it was flexing, I am surprised it didn't break in half.

Well at least he has a great spec to put on another bike, thats for sure. :D but a shame to see the Komodo go, it looked really nice.

it was an 03 model, so far as i know they only had one that year, its came out with marzocchi z1 fr, and mavic wheels.

they are ritchey pro risers, look in dirt works.

all these parts are on my stp frame, we call it the jtp...lol.
it abit heavyer, but it does the job.

they came on the bike, i think 2003 had the best spec so far, what model did you get? (fx 1,2 or 3?)
i havent had a prob with mine, other then parts wearing out, but i think they frame is starting to get abit beyond it...ittl go for awhile longer!!
