I'm not riding, so I don't have preference.

I don't think I have seen this question asked before, so the response should be interesting.

I wish I had a camera today when a rider on an Cove lost the front end on the steep section after the wombat gap, slid quiet a long way, and snapped the lowers of his forks on a tree.

He got up OK, but the stack was pretty spectacular, if not nasty looking.

Don't think I'd want to do that. Even more time spent uploading and editing, rather just do one of the two.

Pics are the way to go. Even though im not in the area, pictures are fun to edit, easier to take quality images and more fun to capture!

As a rider I think it is sometimes good to see a really good shot of yourself.

But if you don't fancy yourself as a chash hot photography, maybe you should put together a FULLY SICK MATE vid and give everyone you filmed a good look at themselves and others too.

If you are a good photographer I think you should put some effort in and try and get some good shots of people.
