View Full Version : Blue Mountains Riderz?

Greetings everyone!!!!!
I have struck an idea, and idea that I think will turn out to be a very good one at that.
My idea is this, we (the riders of the blue mountains) are to come together as a group of riders each week at a place of riding. During the time leading up to one of these meetings we will organise where and when to meet. We will allocate a track and a time. Someone that has a car or a transport vehicle may want to bring it and organise shuttles, but where we can we will catch the trains. We will be aiming to do some different things each week, say on week 1 we go to chicken run and on week to we go dirt jumping. You do not have to be a freak rider to come and join in, all I want to do is to have fun and whoever turns up will be accepted.
So? What does everyone think, I would like people to suggest names and also how I could make this better. If a certain amount of intrest is involved in this thread/idea then I will make a website/new thread where we can organise what will happen.
SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!

Good, do it in the right section FFS!
God damnit. I come on here after about 5 hours off (riding) and I have to spend the first 30 minutes telling people how to do basic shit on these forums. How farking hard is it!? Like being a farkin pre-school teacher sometimes.:mad:
Ok, rant over.
Dude, there is a whole section dedicated to issues like this. It's called the Watering Hole. Please pay closer attention in the future.
Will move this there for you now.

thanks johnny I didn't think that it would fit under it....for some reason
johnny
31-08-2007, 09:27 PM
Yeah, fark knows what that reason was. This is exactly what the Watering Hole was created for.
Anyway, good luck with it.

your not vishing for some secret trails are you????;)
FFS, this is the sort of politics that makes mountains folk such a cagey bunch.
We're surrounded by wilderness, but crammed in by Sydney Water Catchment, private property, national park, and secretive riders...some of whom want to know the juice, but not to share, eh daddyrat?.
the idea sounds OK mongosedh, depending on where you want to ride.

05-09-2007, 04:20 PM
ummm.. I dont know
It depends on whether or not you want to bring a car or someone else does.
Will we be doing the whole thing? I think it would probably be easier to do trains but its up to whomever has a liscence.
So yer! Can everyone that would like to come please post here as soon as possible!

Hmmm can't remember the name off the top of my head but if it's the pine forrest, then yes it's a perfect location accept it's so far away, and with a couple of months work needed for a decent track we opted to give it a mis unfortunatly. I may be able to get a possy of workers together if you do the same.
Sorry to Hijack and sorry I didn't catch you guys on sunday, hope you had a good day. Get your licenses fellas.

Hey mate thanks, any chanceofgettingmeany informtion on this'pine forest' hill
There won't be any meanies out there this time of year.
Most of it's freashly felled or just yen foot high young pines,so it should show up on Google earth maybe. All the info you need is that the hill is high enough, with an access road for at least a 3.5 min run,and up to a 7 minute. The only other users are moto,s and european mushroom conisuers(seriously). It's worth it,I'll get back to you with the name of the place tonight.

I can get at least three people, with a possible ten.I'm sure the lithgow crew would be interested.

20-09-2007, 09:33 AM
There is also a core crew developing in Oberon, or so I'm told;)
I'm sure we could round up some diggers from Lithgow and Oberon to head out that way. Might be talking to State Forest folk out that way soonish anyway.
My Girlies family use to own and property near Hampton. I have recollections of 4WDing down an old fire road that was rough as guts and dropped about 500-600m down into Marsden Swamp or somewhere. Would be a long shuttle but It's something I've been mean to try and find for a ride...

I'm in for a Sunday in the not too distant future. certain I can drag a couple more along with shuttles & drivers.
Wanna give me a couple dates where all your guys are available (except the 6th July and this weekend - sorry :o)
Have been to a couple locales, but would like to see more after the complusory meets & greets.
Damn. My bike has not arrived from the US yet. As soon as it does, I'm up for meeting you guys.
I'd probably be driving up anyway, so I could help with shuttles. I've got a Jeep and planning to get a 3 bike rack for it.
