and mate STOP BEING A POST WHORE!Come in pot, this is Kettle.

Over.

You can compete in the hard tail category. Many people use a lot of different bikes like STP's, Norco's and boutique bikes like Nicolai, Evil etc. You can use long travel single crown forks or triples, but I'd advise against triples.

Its because it changes the geometry to a point where the leverage is too much for the headtube to withstand. Do a decent drop and you will possibly end up with a snapped frame and a hardcore face plant into the dirt!

He is saying that you, a bit of a post whore yourself, are being hypocritical telling someone else to stop post whoring.

caddy on here races a Torrent with triples. He goes well- 15 footers and his frames not snapped. Ask him about it.

I think Johnny was referring to frames such as STPs etc. Torrents or any Norco from that range will handle dual crowns with ease. There are a few downhill specific hardtails (including the norco to some extent) that have geometry based around a tall fork. No one puts dual crowns on anymore though with all the new long travel sc's. I remember going to my first dh race back in the day and 90% of hardtails had dual crowns.

brenno_24

Well ive got 888's on my torrent and they havent snapped ... it would be very unlikely they will just snap you would have to come short on a huge jump or over clear it by a mile for them to just snap
