You can use a BMX setup and just replace the last, long cable (that goes to the caliper) with a normal, longer, brake cable and you're set. Go to your LBS if you have no clue of what im talking about.

Huh? On a normal Gyro splitter cable, the single end of the lower cable can't be changed as the inner cable is permanently set into the lug in the splitter.
You can put a longer outer on it to get a bit more length, but you cannot replace the inner which may mean it won't make it to a disc caliper (if that's what you're trying to use, if it's a V setup you would probably get there fine.

Have you considered just running a really long rear cable, and routing the front brake cable through the headtube? That'd give you enough room for a couple of bar spins without too much grief, and your brake setup would be a lot simpler.

If you do decide to go with the Gyro, maybe consider something like a Odyssey GTX-R, which hs cable clamps rathe than just hooks, so you can trim your top cable to the right length, as this may be important with lower rise mtb bars.
