hey all,
posted a few pics from the ride at You Yangs on the new course, Bandages or Glory. Some alright ones, any feedback or comments would be much appreciated as I'm still learning when it comes to effective sports photography.

They're all great photos - really great. The closeup of the GT is nice too, great colours.
Assuming you were the chick walking around the back/top part of the No. 1 loop before getting to the top, we saw you that day. We were wondering what you were doing there (you weren't holding the camera at the time - must've been in a bag or something). Thought you were just a spectator ... which made us feel quite inadequate on our piddly 6in travel rigs compared to the big bikes...
Nice work though ... I dare say we'll be seeing more of your photos in the future.

Thanks heaps, yh I think I'm starting to get the idea a bit more now. remote flash would be insane!! I think im gonna invest in one very soon!
I'm not quite sure..if your talking about the guy in the brown shirt, troy lee pants and black bike, then yes it is Isaac.

Im not too sure about any other track, but when we were at Bandages or Glory last w/e it was push only. Maybe some of the other guys know a bit more

They open it for shuttles on race days, otherwise it's foot power only to the top. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, but the 2 quickest ways to the top for a DH bike are:
- walk up the bottom of Travs Diamond Tk (7), until you hit the first berm, then keep going straight up and follow the track that goes beside GMBC Descent (10) all the way to the top. You'll see most people use this so follow them. We ride up this but we're not on DH bikes.
- Walk/ride up the shuttle trail, which goes from the bottom of 7, 10 & 12, around to the right then hook back right up the hill. Much longer but less steep.
You may see cars at the end (top) of the shuttle trail, but they've gone the long way round. Personally, I prefer to end my day on a descent rather than a climb, that's why I park down in the carpark.
