Mt. Stromlo news...

Glen Jacobs gave me a call earlier today to ask me to remind people that if there are barricades and bunting across a track/trail, it means that that trail is closed.

While most of the trails on Mt. Stromlo are open, there are new trails being worked on everyday, and until these new trails are finished riding them causes severe damage, and means that it will be even longer until they can be opened. Specifically, the XC descent on the Eastern face of Stromlo coming down from the bridge - it's not open to be ridden yet (which should be obvious because of the signs and bunting closing it off).

It costs money to repair trails that have been ridden before they're open - money that could be spent on other trails or facilities. So please, stick to the open trails, there are heaps of them, so that the work can be completed.
