According to a report on velonews.com Shooter is still unconscious in Quebec City Hospital, but his condition is improving every day and doctors expect a full recovery.

Doctors at the hospital have said the brain injuries Waddell sustained are more in line with a car crash victim than a bike crash and they expect he will be unconscious for five to seven days.

He's been showing increasingly positive signs since the crash, moving around in bed and even pushing so hard against it that he broke one of the latches on the safety rails.

For anyone who's watched the video of the crash (video courtesy of Radio Canada), the jump that broke him measured 48 feet from lip to lip, meaning he flew about 60 feet before impact.

From Glen Jacobs; "He (Waddell) doesn't know, but he was put through the Minjin test about 4 years ago and survived, he was placed onto the silent Minjin Elder list not long after."

"There are only 24 Minjin Elders in the world, 7 of them are what we call "befores", he has unknowingly just passed the final test, 'the lockjaw flipper' and has been elevated into Minjin history as permanent Elder status."

"All the others Minjins are warriors, the final 6 steps are set in motion by the rider."

"Shooter is real strong now."

Shooter is tough, the spirits are with him, keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
