Thanks to Stik , I have stolen this from his website .. but hey this is an aussie site and we care about our aussie riders so thanks Stik.

This email from Kathy Sessler ( ITS Team Manager )

Waddell update. He is still unconscious. The doctors think 7-10 days. The doctor reviewed the CT scans with Derin last night and his opinion was that John was just under the line of being seriously f-ed up. The doctor reckons that John, when ready, should fly home to Australia and start therapy right away. Of course, no one can say how, or when he will come out of this. This doctor says he would suspect perhaps some speech therapy. He hit the left side and the trauma is on the right side of the brain.

John is strong as an ox and a few days ago earned the nickname "Hulk" from the nurses. They are afraid to see how he'll react if he gets pissed off. He has pulled out his IV and tensed his arms so strong after that they couldn't get it back in. So then he had to have a NG tube for feeding. He also has been bearing down with his legs on the bed rails and broke one of them. He has been sitting up and been responsive to Derin and others, turning to face them during conversations, still with his eyes closed.

John's mom, Irene, will be flying out as soon as she can. Rob Roskopp from Santa Cruz has been extremely supportive and is paying for her flight. Derin has been by his side, as well as 3 birds that John knows from the area.

See you soon,

Kathy

Yeah...bad stuff, hope for the best for Johnny, as we all know this kid is strong as hercules, like most of these aussie warriors...more as I get it.

Hopefully with some threapy and home cooked meals Waddell will get through this injury. Lucky he was wearing a Motocross Helmet.

Thanks again Stikman and Kathy for this information. More updates on Mt Saint Anne soon on Stiks site.
