From what I've heard so far, the round held in Willingen, Germany was a joke. The track was flat, and almost entirely man made. There were 20+ 30ft+ gaps on the track and plently of flat out pedally bits. Despite all that we had a strong set of results in Rennie 3rd, CK in 4th and Hill 5th.

The 4X was even worse, the top 16 men (who didn't race saturday due to rain out) did not even race at all in protest. The electronic gate did not work, so the officials went with a "ready-set-go" manual gate system. The riders weren't having a bar of that, so opted to play skid-down-the-hill along side the track instead.

Eight women riders did contest the 4X when officials made it clear that points would be counted for overall standings, however Jill Kintner did not make it to the gate after being told the race was not on. Not to be to far outdone by the males protest, the women got up on the podium with their backs to the press.

It's pretty clear that the UCI did not do their homework on this one. Sure the rain wasn't their fault, but authorising a race on a tiny hill isn't a recipie for a good race track.
