Farewell to Ferny Grove

If you're lucky enough to know where they are and good enough to jump them you probably realise that the Ferny Grove trails are one of the sweetest jump spots in Brisbane.

Alas, the trails have been discovered and the land owners are none too happy about them so on Wednesday morning the dreaded and hated bulldozers will be moving in to level the place.

You're advised to get on out and pay your final respects to the place while you still have a chance. The locals are planning to turn up at 7am on Wednesday morning to protest the demolition and while it might not stop the 'dozers it would be great if anyone who's as unhappy about this as I am could get out there and show your support.

I'd like to give a huge shout out to the crew who built and maintained this immaculate jump spot, you obviously had great pride in the place and it showed. Thanks for digging such an awesome spot and giving me one more great place to ride my bike, you have my respect always.
