The Worlds Longest Downhill race is on again on the 21st and 22nd of June. The Below paragraph is from the organisers of the event The Golden Cycling Club.

June 22 — the longest day of the year. The Golden Cycling Club has chosen this date to have enough daylight to pull off the longest single-track downhill mountain bike race in North America. Bar none, it’s the toughest, steepest, nastiest race going: 4,500 feet, 12 kilometres of dirt surfing, drops, hits and a short, strenuous uphill push thrown in to keep you honest. When you cross the finish line, that feeling of elation is not about how quickly you finished the course, but simply that you survived.

If you know anybody who rides in this area be sure they are going if you have too much money for your pockets and are not willing to sponsor someone from farkin to participate then go yourself !!!. This would be a killer event and a real test of your physical abilities.
