A Newbie's Guide to Farkin

The main few rules of thumb:

Search before you post. The search function can be found on the menu bar at the top of the page. It allows you to search the entire site - there is a good chance that your question has already been discussed at length.
Read all of the rules of the site before posting anything!
Do not join and post straight away. It will be much to your benefit to have a look around and see how people on the forums talk and behave.
Do NOT EVER use SMS grammar, numbers in place of words eg 'me 2', or other hard-to-read shortcuts around English. Also, it is nice if you proof read your posts.
Do not ever use racist, sexist, or homophobic content. This will not only upset people, but is likely to get you banned from the site.
Try to avoid 'gravedigging' - resurrecting threads that have not been posted in for a few months (or possibly even years), unless there is a very good reason for it, like a discussion of an older year model bike. When searching through a particular topic, the date of each post can be found just above the user's name.

Don't be an idiot, use common sense, and you'll be fine.
